Think About Your Future Self!
Think About Your Future Self!
Let's be honest.
We often fly though the day doing, dodging and creating, in a pretty hap-hazard manner. For instance, we create a document and for speed and convenience (at that time), we save it to the Desktop or just click 'Save' without a thought as to how and where we are going to retrieve it from in the future!
Why not slow down, for just one moment, to consider your future self?
How much more convenient would it be, when you come to search for that document again, if you saved it in an appropriately named folder? Our desperation or impatience at that time, then creates future chaos and desperation.
Let's not be a Desperate Dan or Desperate Danielle!
And while I'm on the subject, please don't stoop to using the desperate techniques I see some marketers use .... I hear it called 'Attraction Marketing' but in some cases it has become 'Distraction Marketing'!
Most are not fooled by it, I can assure you.
False Modesty!
We hear a great deal about false scarcity as an attraction marketing technique.
The current trend we’re seeing on social media however, is that of false modesty!
How ironic that the posts that are going viral are those calling people out, shaming and attempting to humiliate, all with one end in mind….
to get noticed of course!
There are two sides to every story. in the case of certain social-media platforms; the calm and considerate and the disruptive and despicable.
Let’s not pretend here.
We're starting to realise that those who are being disruptive with their content, are getting the attention they seek. Possibly not the attention they deserve.
So there you go! My emboldened text was me trying to be disruptive! Did you notice? Clearly, I’m simply not being disruptive enough!
