The Journey Back

The Journey Back to Full Recovery

Having taken a holistic look at the many dimensions of Health and Wellness, we have come to realise the connectivity between these aspects and how they present themselves in reality. How they affect our vitality.

After a 'down' time, (see my earlier blog, You Are Not Alone), it is important not to wallow in any low mood you may be experiencing; otherwise the 'brain-fog' and sluggishness may quickly come to roost!

With New Beginnings comes fresh resolve.

We have talked about the importance of allowing ourselves to 'feel the feels', to love, to fear, to dread, to grieve; to experience the highs and lows and then to return to our senses (oneself), and allow ourselves to simply be human ...

 Be Your Own Best Bet!

It's time to be your own best bet, from this point forward. Learn to rely on yourself. You have everything you need within you.

Learn to nurture and appreciate 'me time'. To look after yourself as number one, as only then can you ensure you are able to find the strength and resolve to look after all those around you, who look to you, to lead by example. Look to you for support.

Think of the aircraft analogy where the steward talks you through the flight safety procedure, advising you to put your own (oxygen) mask on first, before helping others.

Looking after yourself as 'number one', in this way, ensures you are in a position to rescue others, by rescuing yourself first, in effect.

If you're still struggling, however, then think of how you might put yourself in a 'recovery position', metaphorically speaking.

Keep it simple. Your main concerns are to be able to eat, move, relax, sleep and then REPEAT.

You can do this!

I am going to show you the way.
