Having just returned from a month’s travelling, visiting Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and South East Asia, I have so much to share with you about everything I have learnt both with regard to our personal approach to wellness and work-life balance (which I would rather term work-life harmony as we don’t always get the balance right, do we?)
We're part of an age where health span and life span go hand-in-hand. Our biological age is considered more important than our chronological age.
While the pandemic was a setback, it galvanised the wellness movement.
Looking at a seven year span, according to the Global Wellness Institute (GWI), wellness tourism will jump from $720 billion (2019) to $1.4 trillion by 2027.

What struck me while I was in Singapore was that everyone I met shared the same vision: wellness isn’t just a buzzword, it’s a way of life. Even the taxi driver who picked me up from the airport could articu...

I've decided to try a video blog this week (or Vlog as they are known)!
Let's see what you think.
Hope you enjoy my mini-ebook (Audio/Video), however you choose to view it.

It also refers to the notion known as Small Steps Big Difference which was the subject of my earlier blog.
My friend and associate Dr Linda has become increasingly concerned that many are struggling and are lacking the knowledge and understanding needed to pull on the 'emergency break' so to speak, when life gets rather too much to handle, so this week I've decided to use the video feature in my blog.
The video is self explanatory. Linda delivery is deliberately slow and thought provoking. You will learn much from her wisdom and generosity of spirit.
The notion that Linda explains, in this video, is that while we all prepare ourselves for practical emergencies, for emotional or 'wellbeing' emergencies we are far from prepared ...
We may have our emergency wipes for minor bumps and scrapes.
We have cards to hand for that emergency plumber or breakdown company that we might need to call, should the need arise.
Yet often, in our busy lives, we are encountering wellbeing emergencies that we are wholly unprepared for.

What makes a Happy Workplace?
Yet again we hit upon a topic that is searched an infinite number of times world-wide! In fact Google Search throws up about 248,000,000 results! So if it's such a hot topic, why is it so hard to achieve?
I remember choosing this topic as the subject of my dissertation in 2012, when I undertook my MBA (Masters in Business Admin) at DeMontfort University, UK. I was keen to research Employee Engagement.
I'm in Spain on holiday as I write this, so don't have my dissertation to hand, believe it or not (haha), but for all the research and interrogation of results, the one thing that stood out, above all else, was that employees wanted to feel empowered. They also wanted to be appreciated. The two went hand-in-hand.
After all, the employee had secured their role, primarily because their essential and desirable skills were a close match to the Job Description. They could therefore be trusted to make that role their own, demonstrate their aptitude and...
